Position: Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: Up to £65,000                                                                     

Office Location: Cambridge

Location of work: WFH Hybrid working available

The Role: A new position has been created for an Embedded Software Engineer to join my client as they continue to grow their engineering team, developing a range of cutting-edge devices for the automotive sector. Our client has an excellent reputation within the automotive industry and being a part of this design team gives you the feel of working in a fast-paced start up environment, whilst having the financial backing of an established company.

The successful Embedded Software Engineer will join a multidiscipline engineering team and have the chance to contribute to the full development lifecycle whilst working alongside a team of electronics, system and embedded software engineers.

This role will best suit an embedded software engineer who has proven industry experience developing successful software solutions in a fast paced, quality focussed environment. You will be strong coding in embedded C across a range of microcontrollers and be familiar with communication protocols including CAN, LIN and SPI. Whilst any experience within the automotive sector or specific knowledge of AUTOSAR or Vector tools would make your CV stand out.

In this role you can expect to be working on a variety of projects for a host of customers from around the globe, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of software solutions, whilst also being involved in verification and testing assuring the software solutions meet the desired quality standards.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Embedded C programming
  • 16/32 bit microcontroller development – Infineon desirable
  • Comm protocols: CAN, LIN, SPI, UDS, TCP/IP etc
  • MISRA C coding standards

Desirable Skill and Experience:

  • Python or C++ programming
  • A-SPICE processes
  • Vector tools including: VFlash, CANalyzer or CANoe
