We have experience placing technical project managers throughout the Electronics and Embedded systems product lifecycle.

This means working with technical project managers who are recruited to an inflight project to introduce new software development methodology and ensuring the existing team is trained appropriately to ensure reduced lead times for new product development. This also means working with those who join a project in the embryonic stages, ensuring the necessary processes and methodologies are adhered to and ensuring the success of the new development whilst maintenance of old products continues.

The typical engineering managers we recruit for have both hands-on technical experience within electronics and embedded systems businesses and have then progressed into leadership positions. Whilst maintaining a technical authority, the engineering managers will also hold responsibilities such as being authorised signatories, key contributors to product road maps, the R&D representative on change note committees and the company and R&D representative to customers and internal stakeholders.

Aside from having the relevant technical project management and engineering management experience, our requirements usually need knowledge of working with electronics and embedded systems teams and have the ability to communicate on a level with highly skilled and technically minded individuals.

We work with formerly trained technical project managers and engineering managers who have qualifications such as agile methodologies, PRINCE2, Scrum Master qualified PSM 1 – 2019, TFS Kanban and confluence systems. We also work with trained technical project managers and engineering managers who have developed their skills through real-life experiences and situations on projects within electronics and embedded systems businesses.

We have experience placing trained technical project managers and engineering managers on commercial, defence, medical, automotive, IoT and energy projects.

The technical project managers we recruit are capable of working within the full project and programme lifecycle and have strong relationship management skills, whilst the engineering managers will have management experience within electronics and embedded systems businesses and ensure projects are managed through the planning and feasibility stage to production.
