Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,000

Office Location: Brighton, East Sussex

Location of work: Hybrid WFH model – 2/3 days working from home a week

The Role:

Our market leading client is now looking for an Embedded Engineer to join their engineering team. They offer a flexible, hybrid WFH scheme and are looking for a passionate embedded software engineer to join their team working towards the development of a host of new products that are used around the globe.

You will be working in a team design focussed environment so you should have strong communication skills, experience working in a team environment and also be comfortable taking on individual tasks and managing your time and workload.

The successful embedded software engineer will be able to illustrate experience in a similar role, working throughout the full design lifecycle and coding in embedded C/C++ in an RTOS environment (FreeRTOS, VxWorks etc). In this role you will be working closely with a software design team, and you can expect the role to involve the design and implementation of new code to meet specific specifications, software test, verification and performing required research to assist in the development of new products.

This role will best suit a passionate embedded software engineer who is keen to be involved in new product development and the chance to code C++ in an Realtime embedded environment. You will enjoy variety in your role and be keen to develop your career and skills set in a challenging new product design focused role.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Embedded C/C++ programming
• RTOS development
• ARM Cortex
• Degree qualified in Engineering subject
• Full software development lifecycle

Desirable Skill and Experience:

• FreeRTOS or VxWorks
• Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet
