Position: Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Newcastle + Hybrid Work from Home
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits
The Role: KO2 are now working with an industry leading client in the Northeast who are now expanding their engineering team due to customer demand and are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join them. They offer the chance to work from home twice a week and the opportunity to work on the development of a brand new range of products.
The successful Embedded Software Engineer will get the chance to work throughout the full development life cycle on new products and can expect to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of like-minded engineers.
Keys Skills and Experience Required:
- C/C++ programming
- RTOS development experience
- Serial protocols: RS232, SPI, I2C, USB, RS485 etc
- Microprocessor development: ARM, PIC, NXP, Atmel etc
As an experienced member of the team, you will be expected to work well on individual projects and be able to manage your time efficiently. You can expect tasks to include designing, developing, testing, documenting and installing new software solutions.
Desirable skills and Experience:
- Matlab/Simulink
- Master’s degree qualification
- Experience developing control based software
Their office is based just South of Newcastle and they offer hybrid working, with 2 days a week working from home available making this role easily commutable by large parts of the Northeast including Durham, Sunderland and North of Newcastle to name a few areas.
