The Project:

An electronics business who specialises in Smart Grid and Smart Energy IoT products require an Electronic Design Engineer to join their R&D team for an initial 6-month contract.

With huge demand for EV chargers and Net Zero the demand for the businesses smart intelligent products has skyrocketed.

In this role you will have opportunity to enhance existing products with new features and technology, whilst also getting involved in brand new product developments.

For this role you should be an Electronic Design Engineer who also has experience doing PCB design using Cadence or Orcad.

If you would like to work on products and systems that will have a positive impact on climate change and net zero then this will be a fulfilling assignment. This industry sector is very busy as the world relies on electricity increasingly, and products and systems are required to ensure constant electricity supply, whilst also trying to make it as low cost as possible.

Skills required:

Embedded Software Engineer

Position: Embedded Software Engineer

The Role: a new position has been created for a Firmware Engineer to join their team working on a fully remote basis, working towards the development of industry leading home automation and IoT connected products. The ideal Embedded Software Engineer will be a coding enthusiast who is keen to work with modern C++, developing brand new products within challenging and rewarding environment.

The successful Embedded Software Engineer should be degree qualified and have good industry experience working with modern C++ in an embedded or/and Linux environments. You will have worked in a Test-Driven development environment and any experience with Embedded Linux or wireless comms (ZigBee, Wi-Fi, BLE etc) would make your CV stand out.

You can expect the role to involve:

  • Full lifecycle involvement in the detailed design, coding and validation of embedded C++ software

Senior Systems Engineer

Position: Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: up to £65,000

Office Location: Basildon or Thame

The Role: Our client, a leader in the power distribution solutions sector who specialise in high-performance voltage switchgear applications is now growing a new Systems Engineering team and as such are seeking a Senior or Lead Systems Engineer to join them. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a similar Systems Engineering role and be based close to either their Basildon or Thames offices and will be able to work remotely 2 days a week.

Working as part of a team of engineers you will be key to developing a host of next generation automation solutions.  This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading Innovation and Engineering team to generate solutions to help customers meet Net Zero commitments.

You will work with Customers, Engineers, Sales and Marketing Teams and other stakeholders to develop technical solutions and specifications. C++ Software Engineer

The successful Software Engineer will be joining and experienced team of Engineers across a variety of disciplines and will be given the chance to work with modern software techniques across the full software development life cycle. You will be degree qualified and be able to illustrate experience programming C++ in a Linux environment and ideally have some experience with serial protocols such as CANbus, Modbus and TCP/IP.
