Salary: Up to £45,000

The Role: Our rapidly expanding design consultancy client are now seeking an Embedded Engineer to join their team in their Nottingham based offices. They offer a hybrid work from home scheme and are offering the right Embedded Engineers the chance to work on a variety of exciting products from IoT devices, touchscreen solutions to Ai based projects. The successful Embedded Engineer will have experience in delivering well designed and functioning embedded software solutions, be strong with C/C++ programming, ideally have worked on a range of RTOS environments and with a host of networking and comms protocols. You should expect to work throughout the full product lifecycle working closely with other team members including software, hardware, test and mechanical engineers. You will enjoy collaborating in a team environment and be keen to work with cutting edge technology across multiple projects

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Embedded software design – C/C++
  • RTOS
  • ARM processors (STM32, Cortex-M, 8051 etc)
  • RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, I2C, SPI

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Bare-metal coding
  • Embedded Linux
  • Ble, Zigbee, Wi-Fi protocols
  • IoT devices

Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Salary: up to £60,000

Location of office: Coventry, West Midlands

Location of work: 2 days a week WFH, some international travel will be required

The role:

An exciting new role has now been created for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our clients Engineering function to take on the responsibility of the transition of new products from product development into manufacturing. The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will have a background across software, electronics and mechanical new product development and you will be comfortable with international when required, where you will be representing the company on production and manufacturing matters.

The successful Manufacturing Engineer can expect their role to involve:

  • Author, review and maintain technical documents such as Design Specifications, Architecture Documents and Requirements Specifications.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering including system specification, design, implementation, and test
  • Ensure products meet the technical and legislative requirements laid out in industry standards, supporting the Validation and Certification teams during product testing
  • Provide a key link between the Engineering team and the Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM) ensuring a Quality first approach to design
  • Problem Solving through to resolution supported by formal process where appropriate (for example 8D, Engineering Change Management etc.)

This is a critical role for the business and the successful engineer will be reporting directly to the Technical Director and be given plenty of opportunity to make their mark in the role and the freedom to make a real impact in how the company grows.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in a similar manufacturing role
  • Experience in the development of electronics products.
  • Experience with PCB designs and injection moulding techniques.
  • Strong technical documentation creation
  • Oversees manufacturing environments

Desirable Skills and experience:

  • ECAD software, ideally PADS
  • Knowledge of digital and analogue circuit design
  • Knowledge of embedded design
  • High volume manufacturing environment
  • Low power and battery powered devices

Firmware Test Engineer

POSITION: Firmware Test Engineer

LOCATION OF OFFICE: Coventry, West Midlands

LOCATION OF WORK: WFH Hybrid Working

SALARY: up to £45,000

THE ROLE: As our client continue to grow their engineering team, they are now looking for a Firmware Test Engineer to join them. The successful candidate will be able to work from home 50% of the time whilst the other half of your time will be spent working out of their offices in the Coventry area. Our client builds a range of leading safety products that are manufactured to high volumes and sold throughout Europe.

As their Firmware Test Engineer your core responsibilities will include ensuring the compliance of product firmware with the products requirements and specifications whilst reducing the need for product recalls and in field failures. You will be working in a growing engineering team and should expect to work closely with design engineers, product managers and application engineers focusing on product quality and reliability.

The ideal Test Engineer will have a background in a similar role testing embedded software focused products in a R&D environment. Any experience with embedded or scripting languages (C, C++ or Python) is desirable whilst knowledge of safety critical products will really make your CV stand out.

Electronic Design Engineer

SALARY: £50,000 – £60,000

LOCATION OF OFFICE: Coventry, West Midlands

LOCATION OF WORK: A hybrid WFH model is offered, 2 days a week working from home.

THE ROLE:

A highly successful electronics business, who design and manufacture five million IoT smart home safety devices every year require an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their Engineering team.

In this role you will report directly to the Electronics Manager, and your core responsibility will be to work towards the development of their next generation product range whilst maintaining their existing products.

The ideal Electronics Engineer will be degree qualified and be able to illustrate industry experience in a similar role, ideally designing cutting edge electronic products in a high-volume design environment. You will be strong designing analogue and electronics circuits, designing multi-layer PCBs, schematic capture and be familiar with low current design. Whilst any experience with safety critical standards, embedded design or experience IoT connect devices would make your CV standout.
