The role: A position is now available for an Electronics Design Engineer to join a client in their Chesterfield based offices. Our client design, develop and manufacture a range of electronic products for the healthcare sector with a focus on sensory solutions. This role is for an Electronics Engineer who has the ability to work across analogue and digital circuit design, PCB layout, circuit prototyping, Embedded programming and test. This role will be ideal for an Electronics Engineer who is looking to work in a range of electronics disciplines with a keen eye for detail who is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

You will be working in a small team so can expect plenty of variety in the role and chance to take products from concept through to manufacture. You will get the chance to develop brand new products whilst updating some of their core product range. Is this role you will have the autonomy to select the required components necessary and take ownership of all thing’s electronics and embedded software design.

Engineering Project Manager, R&D

Salary: up to £60,000

Office Location: Chesterfield

Location of Work: WFH Hybrid working model

The Role:

An exciting position has now been created for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our clients Engineering team as they continue to grow. The successful Project Manager will be reporting directly to the Technical Director and be tasked with leading multiple engineering project delivery plans with a focus on the delivery of a range of embedded software solutions.

The ideal Project Manager will be fluent with Microsoft Projects tools, have relevant project management qualifications, have recent experience working in a dynamic, electronics product environment and will have experience in an embedded development environment. Whilst a technical background in designing embedded software will really make your CV stand out.

The successful Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for taking projects from requirements through to production release as effectively and efficiently as possible using the resources allocated to them. You will work with a multidisciplinary engineering and be expected to communicate with a host of technical and non-technical members of the business.

Skills Required:

  • Microsoft Projects
  • R&D environment experience – embedded/electronics product design

Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: £40,000 – £60,000

Location of office: Coventry, West Midlands

Location of work: WFH Hybrid model – 2 days remote working a per week. 

The Role:

A highly successful electronics business, who design and manufacture a range of IoT connected safety devices now require an Embedded Software Engineer to join their engineering team.

The firmware that the companies IoT connected devices are typically developed in is Embedded C on RTOS and Bare Metal using a range of 8, 16 and 32-bit microcontrollers. The devices typically need to operate at a low power and use wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth, BLE, Cellular, WiFi and Zigbee. If you have experience developing high manufactured, low power, battery powered RF devices this would be highly desirable for the role.

In this role you will report directly into the Head of Firmware, and your core responsibility will be to work towards the development of their next generation product range whilst maintaining their existing product line when necessary. You will be joining a small, growing team and have the chance to work closely with a friendly, technical enthusiastic team of engineers from initial concept through the full design lifecycle.

Skills Required:

  • Embedded C programming
  • RTOS or Bare metal development
  • 8-32 Bit micros – ARM or Microchip PIC desired
  • RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, I2C, SPI
  • Experience implementing and adhering safety coding guideline standards e.g. Safety Critical or MISRA

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience working on as many of the following types of products: IoT, Wireless, RF, Low power/ Battery operated, Mass manufacture, Consumer/ Commercial

The Role: Our rapidly expanding design consultancy client are now seeking an Embedded Engineer to join their team in their Nottingham based offices. They offer a hybrid work from home scheme and are offering the right Embedded Engineers the chance to work on a variety of exciting products from IoT devices, touchscreen solutions to Ai based projects. If you are passionate about software and looking for a challenging role with plenty of variety then this is the role for you.

The successful Embedded Engineer will have experience in delivering well designed and functioning embedded software solutions, be strong with C/C++ programming, ideally have worked on a range of RTOS environments and with a host of networking and comms protocols. You should expect to work throughout the full product lifecycle working closely with other team members including software, hardware, test and mechanical engineers. You will enjoy collaborating in a team environment and be keen to work with cutting edge technology across multiple projects
