Full Stack Developer

Position: Full Stack Developer

Location: York

Salary: £65,000

Our client is a multiple award-winning business.

KO2’s client design and build and rent tools for test and measurement for use in hazardous areas where there is high risk and danger to life as a result of the previously prescribed techniques within this field. KO2’s client’s product which is patented allows for test and measurement to be conducted in areas where risk is high KO2’s clients product reduces this risk.

Insulation resistance, continuity resistance, pulse and echo measurement, sonar and pressure are all areas which are investigated by this complex product and the 2 main uses consist of producing a new design and working with existing designs to fault find on structures which are typically the size of the m25 network.

This approach to hazardous testing works in all domains from space to mining and was designed and patented by the client and is not the de facto way of testing in areas which are highly regulated.

The business is experiencing very good growth as a result of international markets and as they supply into mining, space, avionics, defence, chemicals, nuclear, automotive and metal processing whilst having a fully patented design they are confident they will continue on the upward trajectory they have experienced year on year.

The products is essentially a reinforced metal box with a PCB and embedded software enclosed within and this is used for the testing, the metal box is then plugged into the computer, and results in a pop up like you would find with a USB and a C# application provides you with the data.

The client now has a greenfield project for a Full Stack developer to work on a development that will enable KO2’s clients customers access to a web portal where the building blocks of a schematic can be captured and then changes can be made to the schematic based on the results of the testing tool in real time.

The design will be based on a JavaScript application enabling a detailed plan to be drawn and then the back will connect to the cloud. The programme will have block functionality showing the existing architecture, a function mapping out what they already have and then the test results go into the schematic ensuring all the information is held in one area. This application allows a drag and drop application with double click add properties as well as showing a timeline of the changes with the ability to save connecting to AWS or Azure. JavaScript or Typescript will be used to build the web application with an API to talk to the back end and capture the information in the browser and pass this onto the database.

Key Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Experience with modern web development tools and practices.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Database design and management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record of Full Stack Development experience.

If you are a Full Stack Developer with a passion for technology and a desire to make an impact, we encourage you to apply.
