Position: Senior Software Engineer

Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Benefits

Location of Office: York

Location of Work: Hybrid Work From home – 2/3 days a week from home

The Role: Our client is continuing to grow their technology team which is focused on the development of cutting-edge autonomous vehicle software solutions. Their products are at that heart of the next generation of Driver Assistance solutions ensuring the safety of all road users and pedestrians.

In this role the successful Software Engineer will be joining a growing, international software development team and will get the chance to work on a broad range of software products including embedded, high-level applications and software tools, whilst taking a technical lead role within the team.

This role will offer the successful Software Engineer plenty of variety in their day-to-day tasks including; software development to agreed upon quality standards, software testing, debugging code, problem solving across a range of platforms and automating development tasks.

Flexible work from home is available but you will be required to meet with the team in the office weekly. This role will best suit a software engineer with experience across the full software stack who is a technology enthusiast and keen to work in a challenging but friendly team design environment who ideally has worked as a lead engineer or tech lead on previous projects.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Software development experience with Python, C, C++ or Java
• Software application development
• Embedded software platform development
• Experience as a tech lead or senior authority on projects
• Agile development methodologies

Desirable Skill and Experience:

• Software testing using automation or continuous integration – Jenkins, Bamboo, Gitlab CI etc
• Automotive sector
• Autosar
