Hardware Validation Engineer

Hardware Validation Engineer
KO2 Nordic’s Client | Herlev, Copenhagen | Permanent | Hybrid 3/2 | DKK 700,000 – 750,000

KO2 Nordic’s client builds safety-critical Battery Management Systems that go into electric buses, industrial trucks, forklifts, and large-format energy storage. ISO 26262 ASIL-C certified. Real-world, high-consequence electrification — not passenger cars, not prototypes. Production hardware that has to work.
They are a compact, highly experienced team of around 20 engineers based in Herlev, Copenhagen. The culture is informal and technical. The work is not.

The Role
You will own hardware verification and validation end to end. Design review, EMC and compliance testing, manufacturing test definition, field return analysis. Your job is to find failures before customers do and make sure every board that leaves the building is safe, compliant, and production-ready. You sit between engineering and production and you make both sides better.

What You Will Do
• Define and execute hardware V&V plans from design review through field deployment
• Review analog and digital designs for testability, compliance, and production readiness
• Own EMC, functional safety, and compliance testing end to end
• Define and validate manufacturing and end-of-line test processes with EMS partners
• Lead root cause analysis on field returns and customer complaints
• Maintain rigorous test documentation and drive process improvement

What They Want
Intermediate level or above. Junior candidates with the right drive will also be considered.
• Degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field
• Hands-on hardware testing or validation experience
• Able to read schematics and reason about circuit behaviour
• Comfortable with oscilloscopes, signal analysers, and bench instrumentation
• EMC testing or compliance experience, CE marking or similar
• Functional safety awareness, ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 preferred
• Methodical, documentation-focused, and rigorous about test coverage

Package
• DKK 700,000 – 750,000 per annum depending on experience
• Pension, health insurance, on-site lunch
• Hybrid: 3 days Herlev, 2 from home
• Herlev office, direct access from Copenhagen city centre via C-line and Letbanen
