Role: Junior Electronics Engineer

Location: Harrogate

Salary: Up to £35,000 + Benefits

KO2’s client is a well established and growing engineering business designing and developing advanced communication systems used within the automotive sector, with a strong focus on safety critical applications. Due to winning a major new order, they are expanding their engineering team and are looking to appoint an Electronics Engineer on a permanent basis.

The role is based onsite in Harrogate five days per week and is easily commutable from Leeds, York, Wetherby etc. This is a very busy environment where you will be working on real products that are actively used within the automotive industry. In return, KO2’s client offers a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 alongside large company benefits and long term stability.

You will be involved in the full electronics design lifecycle, working closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team. The work is hands on and varied, offering the chance to contribute to both new product development and existing designs as production volumes increase.

Key skills and experience for this role include experience in electronics design, covering both digital and analogue electronics, schematic capture and PCB design and development, exposure to FPGA based designs including Xilinx devices, experience or familiarity with VHDL, understanding of communication systems and signal integrity considerations, experience supporting designs through test, debug and validation, and some basic knowledge of embedded software or firmware development would be beneficial. These skills reflect the type of technologies and responsibilities you will have the opportunity to work with in this position
