Position: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: up to £50,000

Location of office: Leeds

The Role: A Leeds based business, who were established over 40 years ago with a presence in over 70 countries and owned by the word leader in pneumatic motion and fluid control are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to the team.

The chosen mechanical engineer will be working on a new and exciting development which will be used as part of the EV, Green revolution. The engineer will be working on a project which is used in the sustainability revolution and the drive to ensure that businesses can work with green methods and technologies.

The offices are modern, welcoming and with free parking whilst allowing the engineer to work in exceptionally equipped laboratories and R&D department, with all modern techniques and technologies utilised.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be working on a new product development where the ability to work with Inventor is desirable, but any 3D Cad package is considered, such as Solidworks.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 3D Cad
• Experience working with metals
• Experience working with plastics
• Experience with enclosing electronics
• Autodesk Inventor or any 3D Cad package such as Solidworks or Creo
• FMEA
• Degree qualification in Engineering subject

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Autodesk Inventor
• Pneumatics

This opportunity is commutable from Leeds, Harrogate, Bradford, Huddersfield, York and Wakefield. The company can be walked to from Leeds City Centre in around 20 minutes, or a bus can be caught close to the office and there is also free parking on site.
