Position: Senior Electronics Engineer

Location of Office: Blackburn

Location of Work: Hybrid Working (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) – Flexible working hours

Salary: Up to £70,000

The Role: Are you ready to lead and accelerate the aggressive strategic product development roadmap? We have an exciting opportunity in the R&D department for a Senior Design Engineer to take charge of system hardware, collaborating closely with a dedicated firmware engineering team.

Skills and Experience Required:

• System design with single-chip microcontrollers and their debugging tools (e.g., M16C, MSP430, STM32).
• System design with high-performance microprocessors (e.g., iMX6, ARM Cortex A7).
• Thorough understanding of PCB design and layout for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
• Analog circuit design, including interfacing with ADCs and DC/DC converters.
• Designing systems using communication buses (e.g., RS485).
• Experience with high-level modules such as 4G cellular modems, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Designing ISM band RF transceivers for Wireless systems.
• Low-power design for battery-operated products.
• Experience with IoT devices.
• Understanding of mains Switch-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS).
