SALARY: £40,000-50,000



An electronics business in Mansfield which is going through a very exciting period of expansion globally requires a dynamic R&D Project Manager to join their team.

In this role you will be reporting into the Engineering Manager and Programme Manager.

As a Project Manager in this company you will be responsible for managing multiple new product developments simultaneously, working throughout the product lifecycle.

You will be assigned projects and a team of resource (which will typically consist of an Embedded Software Engineer, an Software Application Developer, an Electronic Design Engineer and a Mechanical Engineer) and will be responsible for delivering the project from start to finish. This will mean using MS Project for project planning as well as managing the engineering resource.

The projects you will be managing will be at different stages of the product lifecycle. Some will be working from concept/ requirement specification stage all the way through to production. Other projects will be working on existing products and adding new technology and features.

This role is suited to a Project Manager who enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will have a huge level of ownership and responsibility on the projects you are managing.

If you are a Project Manager who likes working on new product developments, then this role will be ideally suited to you. Any experience working on electronics/ embedded software devices or products would be advantageous but is not essential.


  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Strong project planning ability, ideally using MS Project
  • Confident working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Confident managing multiple projects

  • Knowledge of Embedded Software, Electronics and Mechanical Design
  • Project Management qualifications e.g. Prince2 qualified
