Mechanical Design Engineer- Solidworks

LOCATION OF WORK: Oxford- This role requires you to work onsite. The company are operating under strict CV-19 guidelines

RATE: £40-50 per hour

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months initially (likely to extend)

THE ROLE:

You will be working on a handheld consumer device which is developed to medical device standards. It you have experience working on consumer or medical devices, or electronic devices that have small mechanisms this would be highly desirable.

For this role you should be an experienced all rounded Mechanical Design Engineer who has Solidworks experience. You should have designed products from concept stage through to full manufacture.

Experience designing products which has as many of the following would be advantageous: encloses electronic pcb’s, small mechanisms, die casting, plastic injection moulding, fluidics, tolerance stacking.

This project is fast-paced and has ambitious project milestones. It is therefore important that you are a Mechanical Designer who would thrive in this type of environment.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Solidworks
2. Full product design experience (from concept through to manufacture)
3. Electronic enclosure design (i.e. products that enclose PCB’s)
4. Designed products with Small Mechanisms

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

1. Plastic Injection Moulding design
2. Die Casting
3. Tolerance stacking
