Our client is at the forefront of medical testing and instrumentation development and in recent months their development team has gone from strength to strength. As they now branch out into new markets, they are looking to add a Firmware Engineer to their growing team. They offer a challenging yet rewarding environment with the chance to work on a WFH flexible pattern.
The successful Firmware Engineer will be joining an experienced team and will be involved in the full development lifecycle, contributing to the design and development of a host of products that will improve peoples lives. Your focus will be the development of real-time firmware for a range of microcontroller (AMR, PIC, TI or Atmel) based instrumentation, whilst also configuring and developing embedded software to run on Linux systems. You will wok closely with the engineering team including software and hardware engineers and assist the testing and validation team when required. Being in the medical sector, attention to detail and clear documentation is essential and ay experience with ISO 9001, 13485 or IEC 62304 is desirable.
Skills and experience required:
- Embedded C
- Linux development for embedded systems
- RTOS or Raspberry Pi or Arduinos
- Microcontroller design – PIC, ARM, TI, Atmel etc
Desirable skills and experience:
- Low level hardware interfaces – ADC’s, CSI-2 camera, data buses
- Digital electronics design
- Medical or IoT devices
