Position: Embedded Systems Engineer

Location of Office: Glasgow , Bristol, Leatherhead or Derby

Location of Work: Flexible Hybrid WFH

Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits

The Role: Our client, an industry leading design consultancy for the aerospace, nuclear, space and renewable energy sectors are now looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to join their growing engineering team in their Glasgow office. They offer flexible hybrid working and the chance to work for new product focussed design team working on cutting edge products that are used around the globe.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Embedded systems development
• Architect level development and implementation
• Full life cycle development – concept through to realisation
• Experience in a regulated environment – aerospace, nuclear, automotive etc

The ideal Embedded Systems Engineer will have solid industry experience and a degree within a relevant engineering field. You will have a strong embedded development background and experience in a senior role looking at architecture level problems and creating software solutions for the engineering team to implement. Our client work with a host of clients and no two projects are the same, you will be expected to work across a range of development platforms (Linux, RTOS, bare metal etc) predominantly developing in C/C++ and projects will vary from IoT connected devices to large-scale control system solutions.

The successful candidate will be working as technical lead within project teams and will be expected to liaise directly with customers and stakeholders to implement their visions and complete projects to agreed time frames and budgets. This role will best suit an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer who is keen to remain technical whilst taking on a lead role working towards the development of a range of industry leading, cutting edge embedded software solutions.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Model based design and model based systems engineering
• Safety critical standards and design environments
• Experience as a technical lead or team leader
