Salary: £45,000 – £65,000

Location of office: Falmouth, Cornwall

The role:

A unique opportunity has now become available for the right Embedded Engineer to join our client as they continue to develop industry leading, state of the art robotic devices for a host of household names around the globe.

Our clients office is in the beautiful town of Falmouth with sea views, so if you like the great outdoors, seaside living and/or water sports and are an embedded engineer then there is the role you have been waiting for.

In this role you will get the chance to develop cutting edge devices whilst working with likeminded technology enthusiasts from multiple disciplines including software, electronics and mechanical design.

Ther ideal embedded engineer will be keen to work with modern technology and be a technical enthusiast, capable of working in a team environment and contributed throughout the full design life cycle. Your core skills will be based around low level embedded C programming, Arm processor design and you will have worked with a range of comms protocols including USB, Ethernet or EtherCat. Any experience with motor control and Python scripting would make your CV stand out whilst experience of STM32, Linux or previous work or interest with robotics devices is desirable.

Our client is open to an Embedded Engineer with any level of industry experience as long as you have worked with the key skills required and show a passion to develop new skills and work closely with their team, designing these complex and innovative devices that are at the forefront of the robotics industry.

Skills and experience required:

  • Embedded C programming
  • ARM processor family
  • High speed communication – USB, Ethernet, EtherCat etc
  • Python scripting

Desirable skills and experience:

  • STM32
  • Linux
  • DC/BLDC Motor control or motion control theory
  • Robotics industry experience
