Embedded Software Engineer

Position: Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,000                                                                                                                             

Location of work: Fully Remote Working – Must be UK based

The Role: A fantastic opportunity has now been created for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a growing team, working towards the design of a new range of industry leading sensor devices and solutions for the automotive sector. Our client has an exciting new product development road map ahead of them, designing industry leading software solutions that will be implemented around the globe.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Embedded C/C++ programming
• AUTOSAR or MICROSAR development
• Coding to MISRA standard
• Automotive industry products and regulations

The successful Embedded Software Engineer will have an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology which offers a unique challenge in achieving optimal hardware and algorithm performance from resource-constrained devices. You can expect the role to involve:

• The development of complex software in selected languages for products and/or applications consistently following coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes
• Introduce new development of software to control external hardware for automated test equipment and other applicable development
• Handles software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process
• Creates and executes designs for small sets of new functionality as part of a software project
• Handles participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• CAN, J1939, Ethernet etc
• Wireless comms – Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, Thread etc
• Electrical charging standards – MCS, CCS, CHAdeMO, etc
• Vector tool chains
