Position: Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: Up to £50,000

Location of Office: Manchester

Location of Work: Hybrid WFH model is available

The Role: An exciting start-up within the medical devices sector are now seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their growing, cross functional engineering team in their Manchester based offices. They are well funded and have an industry leading product already in production that is improving the lives of millions of people already. Due to success and customer demand they are now looking to develop a 2^nd generation product with plenty of new functions and modifications planned.

In order for them to achieve these goals they are looking for an experienced Embedded Engineer to join them and take ownership over all software related matters whilst working alongside hardware, mechanical and research engineers in a collaborative and agile environment.

The ideal Embedded Software Engineer will be able to illustrate experience delivering successful software solutions whilst working in a small team environment and the ability to take ownership of these solutions. Your skills set will ideally be based around programming C/C++ in a variety of environments, and you will be comfortable with Xilinx FPGA embedded processors whilst any experience with PIC Microchips, FreeRTOS or Python scripting will really make your CV standout.

Required Skills and Experience:

• C/C++ programming
• Embedded platform development – RTOS and Baremetal
• 8-32bit processors
• Xilinx FPGA embedded soft processor – MicroBlaze ideally

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• PIC Microchip or ATMEGA processors
• Python Scripting
• FreeRTOS
