Embedded Software Engineer

Position: Embedded Engineer

Salary: Up to £50,000

Location of Work: Cramlington

The Role: An exciting position has now been created for an Embedded Engineer to join my clients growing team in the Cramlington area. The successful Embedded Engineer will have the chance to work on a new range of safety products that save lives. You will be working in a new product development team with state-of-the-art technology, working towards the development of a new IoT safety device.

Working in a new product development team you will be expected to contribute throughout the product lifecycle and be given the chance to make a real impact in design and development plans. You will be expected to be strong coding in C/C++ in a bare metal environment, confident coding with PIC or ARM controllers and have worked with a range of networking and communication protocols. Any experience with Embedded Linux or wireless communication protocols is highly desirable and will really make your CV standout.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Embedded C/C++
• Microcontroller development (ARM Cortex desired)
• Networking and comms protocols: RS232, I2C, UART, TCP/IP etc

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Safety related coding standards (MISRA C desired)
• RF and wireless communication protocols
• Embedded Linux
