Position: Embedded Linux Software Engineer
Package: £55,000 – £65,000 salary + Bonus, Pension, 26 days holiday, flexi-time and more
Location of Office: Birmingham
Location of work: WFH Hybrid Model – 2 days a week working from home
The Role: Our client, a leading design consultancy are now seeking an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer to join their team as they move into their brand-new offices. In this role you will be working towards the development of a host of exciting products across multiple sectors including: autonomous vehicles, EV chargers, Medical and IoT connected devices.
In this role you will be joining a multidiscipline team and your focus will be all things Linux software related. You will work closely with the software team developing Linux platforms, working at driver and kernel level developing and installing new Linux packages. Your core skills set will include Yocto, Embedded Linux, Embedded C and BSP. Whilst experience with Texas instruments or NXP Processors will make your CV stand out.
This role will best suit an experienced Software Engineer who has solid experience in Linux development who is looking for challenging, varied work with the chance to develop a host of devices across multiple industries. In their environment no two projects are the same, one day you will be working on a cutting-edge medical device and the next you could be prototyping a new platform for autonomous vehicles.
