Position: Embedded Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits

Location of office: Crawley

The role: A new position has now been created for an experienced Embedded Engineer to join our client’s growing electronics business as they embark on an exciting period of product growth. Their office is based in a beautiful countryside location in West Sussex, they are looking for an embedded engineer who can bring experience to the team and is keen to work within a small team developing new products whilst updating their current range.

The ideal embedded engineer will have proven experience in a similar role with a track record of delivering successful software projects. Your keys skills set will be based around embedded C/C++ BareMetal development and will ideally include low level coding in C, a range of protocols (TPC/IP, Ethernet, SPI, RS485, CAN etc) and developing on a range of microprocessors (ARM, Renesas, TI, Atmel etc). Whilst any experience with electronics design (PCB layout, circuit design, FPGA design) or RF products would really make your CV stand out.

In this role you will be joining an engineering team of 8 and will have the chance to take ownership of all matters related to embedded development which will include new designs, modifying existing designs and developing bespoke prototypes to meet customer specifications.

Skills and experience required:

·        Embedded C/C++ programming

·        BareMetal development

·        TCP/IP, Ethernet, SPI, I2C etc

·        ARM, PIC, Atmel, Renesas Microprocessors

·        Software debugging and test

Desirable skills and experience:

·        Electronics design

·        FPGA design – VHDL or Verilog

·        PCB layout

·        Design for Video or RF products
