Position: Electronics Software Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,000

Location of Office: York

The role: A new position has been created for an Electronics Software Engineer to join our clients growing engineering team in the York area as they continue to design and develop industry leading products that are used around the globe.

Our client designs a range of electronic instrumentation and measurement devices and are currently looking embarking on the design of their next generation of devices. Working as part of a small team the successful electronics software engineer can expect their role to be varied from day to day with the chance to contribute throughout the full life cycle whilst having an input in electronics and software design.

The ideal candidate will leave within a commutable distance of York and be able to illustrate experience in a similar role and be comfortable with analogue and digital circuit design, PCB layout and coding in Embedded C. You will be degree qualified and any experience with FPGAs, Matlab or LTSpice will really make your CV stand out.

This role will best suit an electronics engineer who enjoys being involved in the full design life cycle, is comfortable with a mixture of design tasks and is comfortable working in small team whist taking ownership of individual tasks and managing their own time.

Skills and experience required:

• Analogue and Digital Circuit Design
• PCB design and layout – Altium ideally
• Embedded C programming
• Degree qualified within an Engineering subject

Desirable skills and experience:

• FPGA and VHDL development
• Matlab
• Circuit simulation – LTSpice desired

Package includes: Salary of up to £60,000 + pension, 25 days holiday and bonus
