Electronic Technician

Positions: Electronic Technician

Location: Dukinfield, Manchester

Salary: Up to £38,000

KO2’s client, a dynamic and innovative electronics engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join their Elite Engineering team based in Dukinfield, Manchester. This role is perfect for a skilled Electronics Technician who excels in data analysis using Microsoft Excel and other computer programs, with a keen eye for detail in testing and development processes.

As part of the Elite team, the Electronics Technician will report to the Head of Test, playing a pivotal role in New Product Development (NPD) and R&D for electronic development. This role involves hands-on testing, including drop tests, temperature tests, and measurements on instrumentation. You will also be responsible for compiling and analysing data, plotting results in Excel, and providing valuable insights into product performance.

The position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, from testing in a fast-paced, reactive environment to the opportunity to lead and manage other testers in the tech support team. The role will initially focus on R&D testing, but for a proactive and inquisitive Electronics Technician, there is significant potential for growth and progression within the company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electronics background, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to contribute to product improvements. This role is far from routine—it’s an opportunity for a Electronics Technician who wants to make a real impact, from understanding why something works (or doesn’t) to seeing the results of their input in product development.

KO2’s client values continuous learning and development, offering opportunities for further education, including the possibility of achieving a degree through the company’s support. One recent example includes an engineer KO2 placed with this business who with the use of the governments levy pot achieved a 1st class honours degree in electronics and embedded systems whilst working for KO2’s client.

If you have experience in a test house environment, that would be particularly advantageous.

Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Electronics Technician to join a forward-thinking team and take the next step in their career. Apply today!
