Position: Electronic Engineer

Location: Burnley (1 day in office, 4 days remote)

Overview:

Join a growing UK-wide IoT business with over 50,000 deployed devices and big plans to expand. As part of a larger group with 1,600 people, this company is diversifying its portfolio outside its core expertise. You will support the Chief Engineer in bringing cutting-edge, battery-powered IoT electronic products to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop battery-powered IoT electronics for volume manufacture (targeting 100,000 units).
• Work across a range of projects, currently in concept stage, and take them to product.
• Design telemetry systems, microprocessors, and a mix of analogue and digital electronics.
• Focus on the hardware development (less on software/firmware), ensuring reliability in mass-production environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support project success and deliver timely results.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in electronics design, particularly with battery-powered devices.
• Experience with IoT hardware, microprocessors, telemetry systems, and analog/digital circuits.
• Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Self-driven with a strong attention to detail.
