Position: Electronic Design Engineer
Salary: Up to £60,000 + bonus – 4 day working week
Location of Office: Birmingham
Location of Work: WFH Hybrid Model
The role: As our client continue to grow their engineering team, they are now seeking an Electronic Design Engineer who will work throughout the full design life cycle developing cutting edge products for the global healthcare sector. Their office is based in the north Birmingham area, but they offer flexible remote working and a 4-day working week.
The ideal Electronic Design Engineer will be joining a small, growing team with plenty of new product development to get stuck into straight away. You will be experienced enough to manage your own time and workload and be expected to contribute from initial concept through to in house manufacturing and assembly done onsite. You will be experienced designing both analogue and digital circuits, be strong with PCB design (Altium or Pulsonix desired) and familiar with a host of serial protocols including RS485, CAN, RS232, I2C, Ethernet etc. Any experience with wireless protocols (Zigbee, BLE, WiFi etc) or IoT connected devices would make your CV stand out.
This role will best suit an Electronic Design Engineer who is passionate about developing innovative solutions for a product range that improves people’s lives. You will be comfortable in a small team environment and enjoy the variety of work this style of working presents.
Skills and experience required:
- Digital and Analogue circuit design
- PCB design and layout
- Atmel, Renesas, STM32 or PIC processors
- CAN, RS232, RS485, I2C, Ethernet
Desirable skills and experience:
- Wireless protocols: BLE, ZigBee, WiFi etc
- Altium or Pulsonix design packages
- IoT connected devices
