Position: Compliance Engineer
Location: Chester – Hybrid Working from Home 50/50
Salary: Up to 55,000 + Benefits
A new position has been created for an experienced compliance engineer to join our clients growing engineering team in the Chester area. Our client design and manufacture a range of electro mechanical devices and are looking for a compliance engineer with good industry experience working within an electronics focussed R&D environment, who is up to date with a range of regulations that will affect their products including EMC, CE, FCC, RoHs and more. You will be joining an established business at an exciting time of growth and will be given the chance to take on a key new role within the business.
The successful compliance engineer’s role will include ensuring all products meet the necessary approval and legislative requirements and will achieve this by working closely with the engineering team and external suppliers. You will work closely with the engineering team to understand their specific requirements and then coordinate with relevant parties and organise testing programs in order to achieve these standards. You will be expected to keep up to date with industry updates and become the company’s subject matter on compliance, risk and industry standards.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
- Industry experience within an electronics engineering environment
- Ability to read product designs, technical documentation related to electronics and mechanical design.
- Knowledge of a range of regulations including: FCC, UL, EMC, CE, LVD, RoHS etc
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- EMC testing
- Knowledge of electrical or mechanical testing
- Technical background in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering
The role will best suit an experienced compliance engineer who is keen to take on an important role within a growing engineering team. You will be taking responsibility for compliance documentation and systems for all future products and play a key role within the engineering team.
