Salary: Up to £60,000
Location of Office: Guildford
The successful Software Engineer will be joining a small design team currently consisting of 10 enthusiastic engineers across software, electronics and mechanical design disciplines. You will take the lead on software design aspects, and you should be able to work on individual projects whilst also working closely with the team. You will be joining the team at an exciting stage of development with plenty of opportunity to make an impact in future product developments.
You will be degree qualified and be able to show experience in a similar role. Your core skills set will be focused on C++, OO design and Linux, whilst some experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP and CANbus is required. Whilst any experience with embedded Linux or writing safety critical software is desirable.
They are working to modern development standards and regulations so experience working in a similarly regulated environment such as medical, automotive, robotics or automation would be beneficial.
In this role you will be working for an exciting robotics company who are now developing their next generation of modular robotic solutions. You will be working with passionate design engineers in a fast-paced environment with the chance to contribute throughout the full design life cycle.
Skills and experience required:
- Strong C++ (14 or 17)
- TCP IP or CANbus networking
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)
- Boost C++ Libraries
- GIT or similar version control
- Embedded Linux
