C++ Software Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits

Location of work: Fully Remote

The Role:

An exciting new position has been created for an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join a growing team working towards the design or a host of autonomous driving software solutions. In this role you will get the chance to work with modern C++ (17 and 20) in an agile environment towards the development of industry standard setting, new software products.

The ideal C++ Software Engineer will be an enthusiast across all things new in software development, be a strong C++ (17/20) programmer and have experience developing for Linux (Yocto, Ubuntu) and embedded platforms. You will be keen to learn new technologies and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Whilst any experience with JSON, YAML or Google Test will make your CV standout.

The successful Software Engineer will be joining an established business who continue to lead the way in the development of autonomous vehicle software solutions for a host of household vendors across the globe. You will be the joining the team at an exciting time and be able to work almost fully remotely. Skills and Experience Required:

• Strong C++ programming – 17 or 20
• Linux – Yocto or Ubuntu
• Embedded software platforms
• Full software development lifecycle
• Degree qualified – computer science or similar

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• YAML or JSON
• Google Test
• Working to safety standards – automotive, safety critical etc
• Knowledge of engineering security
