C++ Linux Software Engineer

Location of work: This role can be performed fully remotely

Contract length: 6 months initially

Rate: £60-66.25 per hour (inside IR35)

The Project:

You will be tasked with porting a complex and exciting Windows C++ application to Linux. For this role you should be a confident Modern C++ programmer who has experience working on Linux (Ubuntu ideally).

A proof of concept has already been done which will provide you useful information for the porting of the application onto Linux.

You will be working part of a small project team on this nicely packaged project. You should be self starting and be comfortable taking ownership of tasks.

If you are a confident C++ developer who wishes to work on a really interesting project then you will be nicely challenged and stimulated.

Skills required:

• Modern C++ (C++ 11 onwards)
• Linux
• Understanding of Make systems and CMake in particular
• Git
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable experience:

• Python or Bash
• Windows
• Agile/ Scrum
